- I finally finished my long awaited 1st quarter of nursing school. So-so-so glad its over. We lost about 8 of 80 students this quarter-maybe even more after the last midterm. Folks were dropping like flies.
Next quarter is the OB rotation. I am exited! It is a bit dampening that they have not posted the da-gone clinical site list yet. Could be Monday or Tuesday - day or evening. Could be OSU - could be Lancaster - who knows!
I continue to send out resumes and hope someone will give me a break. It's pretty tough to switch careers. I depend on faith at this point. I know He has a plan for me - I just can't see it yet. So I just keep putting one foot in front of the other. when the time is right he will let me know.

iLL post my story of how i got into nursing school in a bit.
i work in the ER at the moment and ive been logging in back to back 12 hour shifts because i don't want to work full time in the fall.
currently, med surg 2
we are on a block curriculum.
that's third semester of five for me.
we don't have summers so i won't grad til dec 2009
crossing fingers
first cut - 60 students down to 44 due to pharmacology
second cut - 44 students joined by 6 repeaters, but original group cut to 19 after med surg 1
third cut - original 60 students down to 8 after math & clinicals =[
Congratulations on taking that leap of faith! I think you will find yourself challenged in a way you never thought possible but you will also discover you will grow in ways you never thought possible. Remember to take it one class at a time and before you know it, time will have flown by!!!
